We all know that cranberries are one of those super fruits that are extremely good for us. I try to get my kids to eat them as much as possible. Luckily everyone in our family loves dried cranberries. I start everyday with a bowl of oatmeal with dried cranberries, cinnamon and a little brown sugar.
We discovered Funny Face Dried Cranberries and of course being a parent I fell in love with the name. I always love making eating fun which means playing with your food, Funny Face Dried Cranberries is perfect for that. My son loved them right away, the packaging attracted him, the huge characters on the front with the big smiles. Of course the flavors – Rootin’ Tootin’ Raspberry, Choo Choo Cherry, Goofy Grape, and Freckle Face Strawberry.
We love dried craisins, I have used them for several things but never thought to use them for baking. I received a recipe for Rootin’ Tootin’ Raspberries’ Chewy Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies, of course we had to make them. They missed the step for getting the funny face on to make these so I am adding it myself. Let me tell you these are absolutely delicious, I love baking with my son and we had a great time baking these cookies and of course testing to make sure that their recipe passed our taste tests!
Now I can say they are good plain, in your oatmeal or salads and perfect for baking! I can not wait to see what else I can make with these.
Make sure you check out the Funny Face Cranberries website, they are also on Facebook and Twitter.
I received the above mentioned product in the hopes of obtaining a review, however all statements made are my own and were not influenced in any way.

I really try to eat cranberries but usually have a problem with the tartness. This would be great way to get the nutritional value maybe!

I am trying to convince myself that with the dried cranberries and the oatmeal it is at least a healthier cookie!
