PV Body – Ellie – Athletic Wear – Review

I did a post a little while back about PV Body.  I have been waiting to do a review of their product until I received something from the new line of clothing.  I received my first outfit Saturday.  I decided when I became affiliated with them to sign up for their subscription service so I could make sure that I was representing a company that met my expectations.  Honestly I have heard good and bad about them and wanted to see for myself the type of service and clothing you can expect.  My theory is I do not want to promote something that is not worth promoting.  I am a strong believer in customer service being very important so I will update you with each shipment I receive and let you know exactly what I think.

IMG_4623I have been on a goal to get fit and realized that the clothing for working out in my area was either out of the price range I would pay, or never could find my size by the time it hit clearance.  PV Body just switched to a new line of clothing called Ellie.  I  was not sure what to expect, I had only received one outfit from them before the change and I loved it.  Well I am still impressed now that I have received the second shipment.  This time I received a tank top and capri bottoms.  The quality is great, the seams are good, they fit great.  To the right you can see the logo marking that is on their clothing, I know I am crazy, but I like it.  I absolutely love tank tops for working out, they are perfect for whatever you are doing whether running or yoga (unless of course it is cold).  I discovered not too long ago that fitted clothing is a lot easier when doing yoga, I also discovered that the tank tops with the built in bras provide extra support when running (even when wearing the high impact bras).  The pants that I received are comfortable and I love that they help to hide the little flaws that you might not want to show to the world!

This has quickly become one of my favorites.  They have sent two outfits so far, one from their old line and one from the new line and I would have picked both myself if I would have had the chance.  Of course what I love about their new system is that you get a choice each month between two outfits.  I am looking forward to next month to see what I get from them.  You will be seeing all of the outfits I get in my fitness posts on Mondays, I will also post with each shipment to let you know how they are doing in providing what I have come to expect now.

I have posted my 2nd review which you can read here.  I tested out the returns and customer service to see how they are.

I received the above mentioned product because I signed up for their monthly subscription.  I was not required to do a review but did one because it is a new line and I wanted to let you know about the quality of the clothing.  I also want my readers to know what type of customer service they have as well as the quality of their clothing.  The links above are affiliate links which when you sign up using those links I will earn a small commission which offsets the cost of running my website.

  6. How would you describe the material of the tops? Thin? Thick? There are some seamless workout tops (i.e. lulu’s cool racerback) that are a particular stretchy material that shows every bump and roll – even on a thin person! I was looking into getting a top so your opinion is helpful! Thanks!

    • For the shirt I received,it is what I would consider a thicker material. I have shirts that do show every flaw and this one did not do that. I should be receiving anther shipment in the next couple of days so I will be doing another review. Being that their product line changed, I am trying to get a few extras in to see that the quality is consistent.

Ellie began as PV Body. Look around for their reviews. Terrible customer service. I can’t reach them by phone or email. I haven’t gotten a refund on the order I sent back a month ago. Never got the discount I was promised when I signed up. Flee! Avoid this company!

    • I am sorry you are having issues with them. I have read the reviews, I know they have gone through some changes because of the issues they were having. I am big on customer service and while they had a few bumps, they are working hard to correct it from what I see. I signed up for their service under another name because I want to be treated like all other customers. I will be trying out returning items and such because I want to know that they have corrected their issues. I would not give up, keep sending e-mails, the few I have sent have been responded to.

    • I placed my first order with Ellie last week, and while my order is showing complete and shipped, the tracking indicated that the shipment had been picked up on the date my account indicated it shipped. I emailed customer service twice and did not receive a response. I finally commented on their Facebook page and got an immediate response, and my order finally shipped. Try contacting them through Facebook as they seem to be more responsive that way than through email. I realize that there is a learning curve for new companies, but I don’t think they anticipated having so many issues converge at once (website has issues, shipping has issues, customer service has issues). If I really like the product, I’ll be willing to give them a chance to get things straightened out before completely writing them off.

      • I think they are working hard to fix the issues. I too love the product and am glad you got your shipping issue resolved. I have only had to contact customer service once and it did take a bit to hear back but the issue was resolve asap once I did reach someone. So far, I am loving them, I just received my February shipment and outside of the fact that I can not figure out what I am going to wear one of the items I picked with, all is good. Thank you for your comment.
