So I get woke up this morning to my phone announcing that my site has been marked as having Malware. Owning a website, the first thing you do is run to get it fixed because you really do not want to have it affect any of your readers. I was already in the process of changing hosts for my site. I was unsure who to call first so I contacted the one I was moving to because they had already started the migration. They were awesome in rushing the remaining portion of the migration and immediately scanned to make sure that my site was in fact clean. Thank you Host Gator for that.
I am currently waiting for Google to do the rescan so they can remove their warning. I actually do not mind being flagged as I would rather if my site is infected that people be warned. I do wish the flag would come down quicker when you prove all is okay though, but will continue being patient.
During the migration process and fighting the Malware – HostGator and I missed the migration of e-mail so I ended up losing e-mail for a few hours today as well. It has been a long and stressful day for me and all I can say at the end of it is….
Thank you to all my readers.
You all kept me going today when it would have been easier to curl up with the box of chocolates and turn of the computer. I did eat the chocolate, I will not lie, but I did not turn off the computer because I have so many people (not just me) that love my site and that is what kept me going. Thank you to everyone for your patience through this little rough patch, I really do appreciate it.
